Well

Well, I can barely hear the guitars, the drums need some equalizing, the singing is really not that great (no offense), and where's the bass? The whistling is too sharp and keeps clipping. The lyrics are really not that great either. But it's not that bad for doing in just 2 hours. If you're serious about writing anything at all, even if it's supposed to be a comedy song, take a few extra hours and work on the production, and it'd be worth listening to.

MonkeyHatchet101 responds:

Finally an honest opinion lol. But ya I actually fixed up the song and lyrics, I just havent gotten to re-recording it yet. Plus I only have a 5 dollar mic originally used for counterstrike and a cheap video camera for recording so the drums aren't gonna get equalized anytime soon lol. But thanks for the opinion

Great!

Not too shabby. Your main melody doesn't change at all, which gives a repetitive feel. I think it would sound better if it changed even just a little. The drums are nice, but the fuzz sounding instrument (I think it's a snare?) should have more of an "umph" sound to get that real powerful industrial sound. I really like the change that comes in at 3:14. Makes for a nice counter sound to the rest of the track. I was really expecting the whole song to pick up more then it did, but that's okay. It sounds more like an hard industrial ambient song this way. Great attempt at your first industrial song! I hope to hear more from you.

L3ak responds:

thANK YOU VERY MUCH! :) The fuzz sound your hearing is actually a white noise effect I added to a clap to give it that extra touch

Nice remix

Where to start... Great song choice for a remix. Sonic 2 is one of my favorite games and I've always loved the music in it. Here you have an interesting lead choice. It sounds interesting at first, but the choppiness seems to get annoying pretty quickly. Though it's not too bad once the drums come in. I feel that the biggest problem with the synth you used as the lead is the tempo seems too slow for it. Another thing I noticed is the kick sounds way too heavy. When it hits, it seems to muffle the rest of the mix.

But as far as the overall song goes, this is a decent song. The background noises fit very nicely and really compliment the rest of the song. When the drums come in, it gives a real nice groove feel to the whole mix. A very nice remix of a good song.

Pianosketcher responds:

Thank you, the kick and bass were a little too loud, probobly cause my speakers are weird and you can barely hear bass off them.

It should loop better

It's not horrible, but it would be nice if it actually looped instead of stopping like that. The panned instrument is okay, but it sounds a little too loud, at least compared to the rest of the song. I really can't think of what else to say about a 6 sec loop.

dynamizer responds:

it does that with all the loops
i cant really get it to continue on and on
ill try to fix it

Very Dark

I love it. I can't think of anything I'd change. Awesome work!

Bunny-master responds:

Haha, thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Nice!

I'm a sucker for heavily distorted drums, which you perfected here. The leads are great, and the overall song is cool. Rock on man!

Not bad

But one thing I would change is the drums. They sound so...stock. Like they're completely unaltered. Fix those up and make them your own and you get a 10 from me.

Yes

Very catchy and upbeat. I'd love to hear a full version.

Nice

Great track man. The lead that comes in is different, and it fits. Though, it sounds off beat in some places. Anyway, nice job!

ganon95 responds:

lol this song actually came out of a challenge i came up with for myself, i wanted to attempt making a song at 200 BPM (usually i do about 140-170) if you slow this song down to 140 it sound VERY off beat lol

Sounds like

This sounds like something one might hear in an old Super Nintendo game. It reminds me of many years of playing Yoshi's Island. Great work! I love the lead, and the bass is awesome, but at 0:20 it changes just enough to sound a little weird... The rest is perfect though. Keep up the awesome work!

NKAT responds:

0:20 is odd man. Thanks for enjoying. I think this will need 0:20 omitted and put into a song of its own. Hey, Yoshi's Island was an odd game but was awesome, another reason Nintendo is just too good. But ya I get that kind of nostalgia in Mario and such, which was always confusing - happy music but you are trying not to die.... odd combo - killing someone to circus music odd

What's going on? I am freakin' out! I'm always up for reviewing something, so if you want me to check out your stuff just drop me a PM.
