Kaboom!

Posted by Nessbeatsfox - July 21st, 2008

Hey, I can't believe it made the papers...Well, the internet papers! My pastor at my church wrecked his dirt bike inside the church while trying to give a demonstration! I witnessed the whole thing. It was pretty crazy I tell you what!

Quote:

KOKOMO, Ind. -- A pastor trying to demonstrate the concept of unity to his congregation broke his wrist when he accidentally drove a motorcycle off a 5-foot platform inside the church.

Jeff Harlow, the senior pastor at Crossroads Community Church, lost control of the dirt bike at the start of Sunday's second service and inadvertently drove off the stage into the vacant first row of seats. He underwent surgery on the wrist Monday.

"Jeff has already laughed a lot, so he's OK. I think his pride was bruised," his wife said.

Becky Harlow said her husband recently attended a motorcycle race in Buchanan, Mich.

"He had this idea that he would bring this bike out on stage and show people how the rider would become one with the bike," she said. "He was going to just sit on it and drive it out. He was just walking the dirt bike out on stage and somehow it got away from him. It was not intended."

No one else was injured.

Harlow also performed the demonstration with the motorcycle Saturday night and at an earlier service Sunday morning without incident.

Supposedly, they caught it on camera, and if they did, I'll try to get my hands on it so you all can see it! XD

That's all for now.
