So I was playing Brawl with my girlfriend on Thursday, when a horrible thing happened. I keep my Wii on top of the video cabinet by my TV, which stands about 3 1/2 feet tall. We were both using GC controllers, and as you may know, the cords for these things are very short. Well, I started to adjust since my butt was going to sleep, and I put my feet above the cords and propped them against the TV for comfort. This was working fine until one of my feet slipped and the whole weight of my leg pulled the controller cords, which, in turn pulled the Wii off the cabinet.

We both stared in silence as if feel the 3 1/2 feet to the floor, completing a full flip in the process, and landing on its side. The dust cover on top broke off when it hit the stand. I freaked out, thinking that I had just ruined my system, when I realized that Brawl was still playing, and I had to pause it.

Now my girlfriend was trying to be helpful, but being Kerri, she hit the eject button popping the game out while she was trying to help me pick it up. I yelled at her (and later apologized) for doing that, as I thought it would screw up the game. But no, we put the game back in, set the system back up on the stand (but left it on the floor now), unpaused the game, and I finished beating her (or she beat me...I can't remember).

Sure you can tell me that the floor was carpeted, so there was no problem. Or you can tell me that any system could have handled this kind of punishment, but does your 360 do that? Huh? Not even my PS2 could have withstood the fall, it would have frozen the game.

The point of the story is that the Wii is the most durable system I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot. This isn't the first time I beat it up, since I was playing it at Kerri's house, and her mom tripped on the cord and knocked it over (it was sitting on the floor then.) In fact, it's never once frozen on me when it's been tipped on it's side, like the 360 does. It just continues to play like there are no problems at all.

I recently (3 weeks ago) got a job at Menards. (That link there is just so you Southerners now what the heck it is, cause apparently there's not too many down south). I just got my first paycheck today. I was so excited. It's the first real paycheck I've ever gotten. And now I've spent all but $20.00 of it. I bought me some new drum sticks, picks, and a new capo yay! Plus I took Kerri out to dinner at Sonic. Now my tummy hurts...

Why? Is there some crazy reason, or do you just feel like being a dick. Unless the song you vote zero on violates the NG rules, or just sucks hardcore monkey balls, then what's the point? You take someone else's hard work and tear it apart for no reason.

I'm not saying not to vote zero if the song sucks, but when it has hundreds of downloads and votes, and it's been used in flash submissions, then voting zero everyday makes you seem retarded. It's obviously someone more deserving of a zero if people like it that much. Is it because no one knows it was you? You can just hide behind the shadows and punch the song in the face and it makes you feel better, huh?

Thinking about it, maybe it's that your jealous. It makes you mad that someone's song sounds better than yours. So, what's the most (un)reasonable thing to do? Destroy their score. That makes you cool. Not >=(

Along the jealousy statement, I bet it's because you're so determined to be #1 on the charts that you have to attack everyone around you that threatens you. You do realize that this is NG right? It doesn't work that way in the real music world. If you have to hurt your opponents to prove your better, then you're probably not really that good. Think about that.

I can rant for anther 30,000 characters, but I've bored myself. Why am I bringing this up? Cause it's an on going problem that you have to fix. STOP BEING DICKS. Just vote fairly on the music you listen to, and don't down vote it cause you hate the genre. That's really lame too.

I've been working on my new (rock) song for the past month. I have absolutely everything done except for vocals...Which my computer suddenly decided that it wasn't going to let me record. Every freakin time I go to record them, my computer crashes, or freezes up, or something goes wrong. I've never had this problem before. I've never gonna get this song done...

What to talk about...

I got nothing. Got a new song coming out...eventually. I broke my pedal on my bass drum, so I'm having some trouble recording. Not to mention my computer keeps shutting itself off every time I switch instruments. I think the power chord has a short in it. Oh well. I don't go to interviews very often. My dad wanted my to practice my answers before I went, but I think I'm just gonna wing it. I do better under pressure that way, instead of memorizing lines...
